Below are the steps of the admissions process.
Manhattan Schoolhouse offers rolling admissions. The first step is placing your name on the wait list. Please download the application above and mail it in with a $100 non-refundable application fee. This will secure a spot on the wait list. Once we receive the application, you will receive a receipt via email. At the same time, we encourage you to book a tour online. Please email us with any questions.
Schedule A Tour
Tours for all sites and age groups are made online. Tours are conducted at 9:30am at each site. Tours at our 1624 and 1616 locations are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At our 1456 location, tours are held every Wednesday and Friday morning. You can book a tour by clicking on the “Book a Tour” option on the right side of the menu. During tours, families will be able to learn more about our programs, philosophy, curriculum, and ask questions.
When a Spot Becomes Available
Once a spot becomes available, the admissions director will contact you. From there, you will be asked to submit the online application, which is accessed through a password. After you submit the online application, we will contact you to schedule a home visit.
Home visits are conducted by the admissions director and sometimes a teacher in the program to which you have applied. Home visits provide an opportunity for potential families to learn more about the philosophy, policies and procedures of the school. Questions that were not answered during a tour and more personal questions can be addressed during the home visit.
Once a family receives the official invitation to join MSH, they will receive a contract and enrollment package. The first month’s tuition and deposit are due along with the signed contract within one week after the offer is made. Before enrollment can be finalized and a child can begin attending school, parents/guardians must submit the required documents: contract, medical forms, emergency contact information, authorized escort form, waiver of participation, and photo consent. Children are not able to begin at Manhattan Schoolhouse until the Department of Health requirements have been met.
