Jacki Visman
Director of Manhattan Schoolhouse 507 West 28th Street
Jacki started classroom teaching in 2015 at a Montessori program in Brooklyn. She then taught an integrated general education and special education first grade class in a rigorous Charter School program. Jacki joined Manhattan Schoolhouse as a Lead UPK teacher in 2018. After teaching in some various programs, learning from their approaches to early childhood care and education, and learning about her own philosophy and practice as an educator, Jacki feels extremely at home with Manhattan Schoolhouse. The warm, child-centered program of MSH reflects her beliefs and disposition as an educator. She is happy to continue her work with MSH as an administrator, helping other teachers and families feel just as at home, and supported, as she does.
Jacki is a NYC native, third generation Brooklynite, and graduate of Brooklyn College. Jacki will complete her Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education in 2020.
