Universal Pre-K
New York City offers every four-year-old a free, full-day pre-K seat through the Pre-K for All program. Pre-K programs provide education the year before kindergarten, giving your child an important foundation for success in school, home, and life.
The Universal Pre-K program at Manhattan Schoolhouse follows Reggio Emilia inspired learning techniques as it aligns with the NYC Department of Education curriculum. Manhattan Schoolhouse began its Universal Pre-K program in 2016, when it was awarded a service contract through the New York City Department of Education. We have been selected for our high-quality early childhood program that prepares children for kindergarten and the world at large. Our UPK Program follows Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum as it aligns with the NYC Department of Education curriculum.
All children participate in weekly specials. Enrichment classes include: music, dance, and language-Spanish. The children take daily walks throughout the neighborhood and play in the local parks.
Manhattan Schoolhouse offers breakfast and serves nutritious lunch and snack to the children.
