Amy Rockwell

Executive Director, Manhattan Schoolhouse

Amy Rockwell joined Manhattan Schoolhouse in 2016 as our Preschool Director. In 2018, Amy became the executive director of Manhattan Schoolhouse entities.

Amy began her career in education working in pediatric units in NYC hospitals, and went on to pursue a Master’s degree from Bank Street.

Upon graduation, she worked as a child life specialist, creating and leading programs in clinical settings for children from birth through adolescence.

Later, Amy became an English Language Arts teacher and curriculum specialist at a number of top New York City private schools. She designed progressive, creative literacy curricula for various ages and individual learning styles.

Amy is a member of the Upper East Side community and a proud mother of 2 children.
